Our friends Dave and Anne Marie welcome Joël Fafard

We're really excited to tell folks that our friends Dave and Anne Marie are taking the plunge and starting to do their own house concerts! They have a great house for concerts, and their first performer will be a real treat. Here's their info:

Night of Light with Joël Fafard

February is still the dark time of the year, although the days get
longer and fill with light. It's this light we would like to revel in
with you. Come and warm yourselves on a winter's night by celebrating
Anne and Dave's anniversary and Sean and Jennifer's February birthdays
at a house concert featuring Joël Fafard!

Joël Fafard is that rare breed of instrumentalist: the kind whose appeal reaches far beyond the realm of serious guitar enthusiasts. The gifted slide fingerstyle player writes stirring, melodic compositions that paint pictures as vivid as any song with words. He introduces them on-stage with hilarious commentary delivered in a "hillbilly farm-boy" stage persona that quickly wins his audience over.

And when he sinks his chops into a number like "Face Down in the Rhubarb," well, let's just say the serious guitar enthusiasts aren't disappointed either.
